Most of these photos also appear elsewhere on the site. This is simply a place to find out about each one.
This photo appeared in the September 23rd Edition of the Dallas Morning News, on the front of the "Texas Living" section. It was taken by a DMN photographer at the dog park, and although Taikoubou wasn't named, he was so well known that nearly everyone who had met him called, emailed, or found me in person to tell me about it.
Jenn Davis is a talented photographer and graphic artist. She took these photos of Taikoubou at a flyball practice sometime in April, I think. In this photo, you can still see a crease in his left ear (the white one) For some reason, it didn't come up fully until nearly 2 months after the blue one did.
I love how blue his eye looks in thie photo, and the beautiful contrast between his dark merling and the bright white of his face. His markings were primarily black with a few grey splashes, as contrasted with Jester, who is mainly blue with a few black splashes.
Bou's left eye was solid blue and his right was solid brown. The pigment around his left eye never fully filled in, although it was more solid at the time of his death than it was in this photo.
