About Bou
Taikoubou was my first Cardigan Corgi, and a wonderful introduction to the breed. Although his conformation was definately pet-quality, his wonderful attitude and personality were all anyone could want in a companion. He was bright, eager to please, affectionate without being pushy, and gentle with all people and animals- which didn't stop him from rough-housing with his dog buddies.
Taikoubou came home with me at the beginning of March, 2001. He lived in four different houses with me during his short life, adapting to the different routines of each with grace. From his first flyball tournament at 18 weeks, Taikoubou charmed everyone he met. His unusual markings always prompted the question "What is he?" and I was proud to tell people that he was a Cardigan Corgi.
Taikoubou died after being hit by a car on January 21st, 2002. He escaped from my parents' yard while they were babysitting on my first day of a new, full-time job and I had worried that I wouldn't have time to go home and let him out.
